About Doug Levy l Boston

Things Doug thinks you should know about Doug…

Doug spent six years umpiring professional baseball.

That is how Doug has ended up with photos from Erie and Mobile in his portfolio.

Doug started umpiring Little League games when he was 13.

Doug thinks that if you ever find yourself in Birmingham, you need to eat barbeque at Jim 'n Nicks.

Doug thinks it’s silly when photographers separate their “personal” and “professional” work.

All of Doug’s work is his personal work.

Doug graduated from Syracuse when they were still the Orangemen.

While he'd rather shoot images for you wearing shorts, he's just as adept with a jacket and gloves on.

Doug has never taken a photography class in his life.

Doug’s girlfriend is a model he met at one of his workshops. Doug also realizes that nothing could be more cliché than a photographer dating a model.

Doug thinks there is nothing cooler than when someone wants to hang one of his fine art prints in their home.

Doug also thinks that if you should see a photographer in Boston, in January, freezing and huddled over a tripod, it’s probably him – and you should come over and say hi – preferably with Dunkin’ Donuts coffee in hand.

Doug makes no apologies if it’s not him and the police are called.

Doug is equally adept at creating images for you on location or in a studio, however, he’d always rather be outdoors.

Who's hiring Doug? Just to name a few: Starwood Hotels, Harper Collins Publishers, The National Association of Photoshop Professionals, Emerson Investment Management, St. Francis House, The Golf Course Superintendents of America and the Liberty Hill Inn.
